Salaries will depend on the candidates age and experience. For exceptional candidates a benefits package will be provided that recognizes their potential value to Sevcon.

Sevcon standard terms of employment include a 37 hour week, early finish on Fridays, 25 days per year paid holiday and a company final salary pension scheme.

Introduction
 Sevcon is a designer and manufacturer of controllers for a variety of battery powered vehicles covering applications such as forklift trucks, aerial work platforms and airport ground support vehicles. We have increased the size and strength of the engineering group over the last two years but need to further strengthen the R&D team based at Gateshead in North East England.

New team members will need to be experienced engineers, the required level of experience depends on the particular job. Engineers will be involved with product development from initial concepts through to volume production. They must have the ability to analyse problems from first principles and come up with innovative and cost effective solutions. They must work well as part of a team but also be capable of working on their own to a specification and produce work meeting the company quality requirements.
