Sevcon Launch Gen4 DC Motor Controller

ELECTRIC and hybrid vehicle drivetrain control manufacturer Sevcon has rolled out a DC version of its ground-breaking Gen4 motor controller. The Gen4 range was launched in 2009 and has since proved to be the leading AC motor controller in the field, featuring in Renault's ground-breaking Twizy (city vehicle) Designed to exacting automotive standards the DC products rely on the tried and tested architecture of its forerunner. The Gen4 range comes in a variety of sizes with the DC mirroring the range and high quality performance standards of the AC. The new DC line is targeted at the fork-lift truck, aerial work-platform and neighbourhood electric vehicle markets.

The Gen4 electric motor controller has proved to be one of Sevcon's most successful recent product launches featuring in the fantastic Brammo Empulse and Empulse R electric motorcycles.
It also features in an award-winning Paxster postal delivery vehicle from Norwegian frim Loyds, and has also been taken by Swedish firm Clean Motion for its urban three-wheel passenger vehicle the Zbee.
